Two full days of workshops with a casual supper together on the Saturday nightand welcome drinks at Sophie’s Farm on the Friday night. Accommodation is not included in the cost and is to be arranged by students (we will provide some suggestions for good motels, hotels, b&bs etc).
Your four hosts will take it in turns to lead four half day sessions, covering all the tools you need to create stunning content for your blogs, social media feeds, websites etc, including cooking demonstrations, talking about recipe writing and researching, social media, styling and photography. You don’t have to be a blogger or food writer.
There will be plenty of opportunities for hands on learning with all four hosts and to talk to, share ideas with and maybe hatch up new collaborations with all of us, including your fellow students; we will be having cocktails in a paddock, breakfast in an orchard, supper in an old convent and two full days of generous sharing, learning and inspiration.
We will cook with and share local, seasonal produce, cider and wine and Sophie, Tessa and Emiko will share and demonstrate a few recipes from their books.
Schedule (this could be subject to a little tweaking)
9am- Welcome coffees, introductions etc
Morning session lead by Tessa cooking from the new favourite books, and talking us through her processes for developing and writing recipes and books. Tessa will also demonstrate a few recipes from her books so we can all play around with the styling and shooting of each one.
Afternoon session lead by Emiko – Cooking demonstration of fresh agnolotti pasta and some classic Italian desserts such as zuppa inglese and baked amaretti peaches. Learn about the ancient books these recipes were inspired by and how Emiko researches old cookbooks to find the most traditional recipes.
Early supper at the old convent
Morning session lead by Luisa – Photography session and morning tea at a local orchard then back to the Old Convent for guided photography, styling session with Luisa and Tessa, Emiko and Sophie helping out too.
Afternoon session lead by Sophie who will facilitate an intimate panel-style chat and q&a with all four of us about social media, creating and sharing images in the most engaging way, publishing, blogging and more!
